The Happy Hoofer's Panhandle Horses

Your local horse resource for northwest Florida and south Alabama

Does anyone locally use US Rider insurance? www.usrider.org. If so have you had to use it and did they deliver on what they cover? Even though I can change a tire by myself and have all tools and know how for minor repairs...I'm looking for a back up plan for when I start traveling more out of state again.

Absolutely !!! I've have had the service for 3 years and they are the best !! I've had 3 blowouts on one trip, with just one spare; they located the tires and sent the tire service out to change the tires; The first question they ask when you call them is " Are you Ok ? and are your horses Ok? and that's exactly what I like to hear when I"m in trouble, someone who cares and can get me a SOLUTION to my problem!! Premium runs around 130 to 140 yearly, well worth it !!! One time I had to call them 3 times within a week, and you don't have to be hauling horses to call them with a problem...

I just signed up for it in anticipation of a long trip to pick up some horses. It is more expensive than ordinary motor club, but ordinary motor club won't have anything to do with a horse trailer. I must say, I was impressed with the packet they sent out after I joined. Very professional. I just hope I never have to use it!!

Victoria,
Julia uses this and was telling us about it last Fall at Coldwater. She loves it. I am thinking about checking into it since Im hauling more now to Camp and such. I cant wait to come down and see you.

I got my US rider package today and like what I see so far. It came in a nice heavy duty type plastic envelope that will stand the wear and tear it gets in the truck. It had a membership card like a credit card but smaller and a key ring ID tag so that if you loose your keys, anyone can drop them in the mail and the post office will deliver them back to US rider who will get them back to you. I also had a key keeper to put your spare on your vehicle somewhere as well as detailed coverage information. Will keep you posted if I have to actually use it.

I have US Rider and had to use them only twice . This last time was just a couple of months ago. It didn't involve a horse, a horse trailer, or even a truck! I locked my keys in my Honda Civic at a downtown Pensacola restaurant. Called them up, locksmith was there in about 1/2 hour. US Rider called a bit later to make sure everything was ok.
Awesome!!

Ok, I've have had my US Rider insurance for about 2 weeks and had to use it yesterday. Took my neice out shopping to get ready for school, we're in her car. Sure enough, bam, blow a radiator hose. Hubby couldn't get the car on our farm trailer as it would bottom out and take out the muffler. So I pull out my card and say this would be a good test run. So I called, within 5 minutes they called me back with the ETA of a tow truck. Tow truck showed up within 20 minutes of inital call. Best part, they told me it was covered under the policy before they let me off the phone and NO paperwork. How cool is that!
