I know what you mean about raising your own! My 1/2 Morgan (Sierra) was born and raised on my little farm and I took lots of time with her teaching Lyons, Parelli etc. I didn't even get on her until she was 4 because I wanted her to be my lifetime partner and didn't want to stress her little 14.2 frame. Unortunately my Mom ended up having a severe stroke and the horses had to take a backseat while I cared for her for five years. Following my Mom's death I had more time to get back to the horses, however by that time Sierra had developed severe summer allergies and respiratory difficulties. I did finally manage to get her back under saddle and out on the trail, but after having to keep her up in the barn under a ceiling fan or hose mister all last summer, I decided it was kinder to let her go to my neice in PA. Now I have bought Sweet Tea who doesn't seem to have a lot of foundation work going for her and has developed some problems along the way. But I believe that things happen for a reason. Maybe Sweet Tea needed someone willing to put the time into her and I needed a smooth gaited horse. I have a bad back and whenever it kicks up, I am thankful that I have a gaited horse and look forward to some good trail rides ahead! Deb

Hi Listens to Horses :)

I have viewed some of your videos and love the baby goat! I too have a few goats but it has been years since I've had kids. Love the playful little critters! I also think your foal is beautiful. I was watching him (her?) traveling alongside Mom, and he looked like he was gaiting naturally. I'm new to the gaiting deal but looking forward to learning more. I noticed you are in Loxley, AL which can't be very close, but if you find yourself east of Milton in the Harold area, you are most welcome to drop in. I can use all the gaiting advice I can get! My phone is 623-3948. Deb
I am happy to be a part of Blackwater Plantation Stable. A vacation destination like no other. Deluxe overnight accommodations near the beach for horse and rider. Well behaved dogs allowed. Miles of trails wind thru a game park like setting along the lake, thru the piney woods, and around the cotton / peanut / corn fields. Bring your horses or rent some of ours. Our horses are not "rental horses" but beloved family pets we are willing to share to make your vacation dreams come true.
